Since 2006, the French Medical Institute for Mothers and Children (FMIC) has been providing advanced healthcare services to patients from all 34 provinces of Afghanistan. Based in Kabul, Afghanistan, FMIC operates under a public-private partnership between the Governments of Afghanistan and France, La Chaine de L’Espoir, and the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), managed by the Aga Khan University.

With a 176-bed capacity and a highly skilled Afghan medical team, FMIC delivers specialized consultations, advanced diagnostic services (including CT, MRI, and radiology), surgeries, laboratory testing, and telemedicine services. The institute has performed over 59,000 surgeries, including more than 5,700 heart procedures, and has provided over $57.6 million worth of subsidized or free treatment to patients in need.

Job Responsibilities – Plumber Position (Jobs In Kabul Afghanistan)

The Plumber at FMIC will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

Performing welding work for repairs and new fabrications as needed.

Assisting HVAC technicians with routine and emergency maintenance of hospital mechanical systems.

Incinerating solid waste from various hospital departments.

Fabricating GI sheets for ducting systems.

Inspecting systems and components such as water pumps, pressure tanks, boilers, oxygen generators, medical air machines, vacuum systems, air handling units, and filtration systems.

Performing plumbing repairs, fixing sanitary blockages, and maintaining air handling lines.

Cleaning filters and maintaining mechanical parts in air handling units daily.

Managing water storage tanks and cleaning reservoirs.

Maintaining the functionality of the medical air plant.

Refilling and connecting medical gas and air cylinders.

Installing water lines, repairing leaks, and fixing faulty valves.

Installing fire hydrant pipes.

Job Requirements – Skills and Qualifications (Jobs In Kabul Afghanistan)

Applicants should have strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in:

Plumbing systems, water supply (hot and cold), drainage, waste, and vent systems.

Installing and repairing pipes, fittings, valves, and fixtures.

Using plumbing tools such as pipe cutters, wrenches, and soldering equipment.

Knowledge of building and safety codes, including local, state, and national plumbing codes.

Understanding occupational health, safety regulations, and water conservation practices.

Familiarity with pump systems and backflow prevention.

Personal Skills:
