It operates under close coordination with MAIL (Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock) and has gained recognition as one of the most credible and professional Afghan institutions in its field. ANHDO is now hiring for the Provincial Community Mobilizer-Afghanistan-Paktika role under the “PREVALE” project funded by FCDO.
Position Summary – Provincial Community Mobilizer-Afghanistan-Paktika
The Provincial Community Mobilizer-Afghanistan-Paktika is responsible for community engagement and facilitation throughout the PREVALE project. This role ensures inclusive participation from all segments of local communities, including women, youth, and marginalized groups. Key responsibilities include organizing community meetings, social mapping, technical assessments, and providing accurate data and community feedback to ANHDO’s central team.
Key Responsibilities – Provincial Community Mobilizer-Afghanistan-Paktika
- Plan and implement PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal) activities in targeted districts.
- Conduct focus group discussions, social/resource mapping, and transect walks.
- Build connections with local leaders and organizations for inclusive participation.
- Lead technical market assessments with producers, input suppliers, and traders.
- Record and analyze community feedback and ensure accurate documentation.
- Promote gender inclusivity by involving at least 50% female participants.
- Coordinate logistics for community events and training sessions.
- Identify local champions to support sustainable development.
- Uphold ethical standards and maintain cultural sensitivity during all engagements.
- Support the organization in validation and feedback workshops.
Job Requirements – Provincial Community Mobilizer-Afghanistan-Paktika
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, community development, or related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in fieldwork or data collection in rural or difficult environments.
- Skills: Strong facilitation, organizational, and communication skills. Knowledge of Kobo Toolbox and similar tools is necessary.
- Language: Fluency in local languages with basic proficiency in English.
- Personal Attributes: Cultural sensitivity, empathy, ethical conduct, and a commitment to inclusivity.
