🧠 Job Summary:

 

Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) is seeking a qualified and experienced Psychosocial Support (PSS) Councilor to join their team. The PSS Councilor will play a crucial role in providing mental health support to affected individuals and communities. This includes one-on-one and group counseling sessions, emotional support, and trauma management under the organization’s psychosocial programs.

🔍 Key Responsibilities:

 

Conduct individual and group psychosocial counseling sessions.

 

Identify psychological distress and refer severe cases to professional mental health services.

 

Maintain proper records of clients and sessions as per ARCS protocols.

 

Work closely with field teams and community leaders.

 

Provide awareness sessions on mental health and wellbeing.

🎯 Requirements:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field (Master’s preferred).

 

Minimum 2 years oPSS Councilor Job at Afghan Red Crescent – Apply Nowaf practical experience in psychosocial support.

 

Familiar with mental health tools and trauma response.

 

Fluent in Dari and/or Pashto; basic English is a plus.
